Easter Sunday in our Karen dresses. ❤

Two women I taught English to every weekday morning for six months. Love them.After attending an educational award ceremony for Day Mu (in the red), we celebrated back at her apartment. Spending one of the first nice days of 2018 outside with some of my favorite women. Day Mu was painting my nails and we all talked for hours in the sunshine.One of the countless days I have spent teaching. So happy everyone was okay. 🙂Took Day Mu and a couple other Karen women friends to a free day at the Botanical Gardens.Spent a misty afternoon at the lake with Day Mu’s family grilling out Dying Moo Paw’s long beautiful hair in Hser Boe Paw’s living room. After I had taught all morning, some women were still working and others were just hanging out. ❤6th grade graduation for one of our boys we see every day (Hser Gay Moo’s brother, Nay Lay Htoo.)Attending Chit They Oo’s high school graduation was such a proud moment. ❤Bretty treating all of us to their first Omaha Farmer’s MarketThe beginning of our relationship with these boys. Such a special weekend camping with them on the first weekend of Summer break. One of the many summer outings with my peopleWe had been to the zoo in the morning and then we were all starving when we got back. Lunch in my living room (and if you’re wondering, those are packages of seaweed. My FAVORITE with rice and salmon). On the morning of my birthday I had some favorite surprise visitors who brought me cake and gifts. So kind!Robbie with Nay Lay Htoo. They have a special bond. One of about a million swimming pool trips. These girls are little fishes and never stopped begging for me to teach them how to swim. They got pretty darn good by the end of the summer.With my friend Christiana. The girls and I loved showing off the gardens in the back all summer long to all our visitors.These boys love Robbie and Robbie admittedly adores them too. Eh Gay Moo and I have the sweetest little friendship. Panicked hair cuts in the garden. hahahahaAlways with each other making memories. They’re my world. Fourth of July in the overalls we got our girls. They were so excited about it. Fourth of July celebrating freedom with people who appreciate it the most. Went for ice cream at Bucky’s and they gave it to us for free. A rare moment when Robbie wasn’t actually in the game himself. A common summer day when a million kids were over to hang out. This day we watched Chicken Run.
